The 3 Rules of Bankroll Management
Before you walk into any casino, you need to answer three questions: How much can I afford to lose? How many sessions am I playing? How much per bet?
Rule 1: The 50% Session Rule
Divide your total trip bankroll by the number of sessions you plan to play. That’s your session budget. Never bring more than one session budget to the table. Once it’s gone, the session is over.
Rule 2: The 1–2% Bet Size Rule
Your average bet should be 1–2% of your session bankroll. On a $200 session budget, that’s $2–$4 per spin/roll. This gives you 100–200 bets — enough to ride variance and still make it to a decent win.
Rule 3: The Win Goal Rule
Set a win goal of 50% of your session budget. When you hit it, pocket 50% of your profit and keep playing with the rest. This guarantees you walk away ahead on good sessions.
