📐 House Edge & RTP Explained
Understanding these two numbers is the foundation of every strategy on this site.
What Is House Edge?
House edge is the percentage of each bet the casino keeps on average over the long run. On a 5% house edge game, the casino expects to keep $5 of every $100 wagered over millions of bets. In any single session, variance dominates — anything can happen.
What Is RTP?
RTP (Return to Player) is 100% minus the house edge. A slot advertising “96% RTP” has a 4% house edge. They’re two ways of expressing the same thing.
